The Role
Amey has an exciting opportunity for three Waste Supervisors to join our Environmental Services Division. The three positions will be working on the prestigious One Trafford Partnership account, Manchester. These roles will be responsible for the service delivery and effective people management of our Waste Teams, whilst also ensuring a high standard of health and safety, maintaining excellent client relationships and achieving operational excellence.

As a Supervisor, you will report directly into the Operations Manager and will form an integral part of the North Management Team.

We are seeking strong, commercial and customer focussed Supervisors, who can exceed our customer’s expectations, by working as a partnership. You must be process and system driven, passionate about getting the best out of your people, whilst also building our reputation and delivering a fantastic great service to our residents. Key skills will include great communication skills, strong problem- solving skills, data analysis and the ability to deliver against targets and ideally some experience of performance managing of teams.

What will this role involve?
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety.
Ensure teams have a consistent understanding of systems, policies and processes.
Effective performance management of a team.
Robust management of resources and work scheduling.
Work with Business Directors, Account Directors, managers and Account Managers to develop annual business objectives, plans and budgets to key account(s).
Contribute to the deliver revenue within agreed budgets.
Planning and managing work schedules and activities for the year.
Ensure all team members operate according to Amey principles.
Support and contribute to continuous improvement.
Customer / Market Understanding, anticipate and deliver client requirements.
Support and implement a culture of customer centricity People / Organisation.
Manage supplier relationships (often outsourced / sub-contractors).
Support and reflect the Amey culture within the business, ensure a culture of compliance.
Data analysis.
Performance Management.

What are we looking for?
Able to take and be accountable for decisions within a contract.
Customer Relationship Management.
IT and Data Analysis skills.
Ability to understand commercial contracts planning and organising.
Proven ability of delivering against targets.
Has a clear understanding of contract and related market dynamics.
Experience of working within an agreed budget.
Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency
Understanding of relevant health and safety guidelines.
People management experience (desirable).
Demonstrates developed communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
Understands and upholds Amey values.
Able to implement and support a customer-centric approach.
Able to manage, develop and motivate a team.
Demonstrates the Amey behaviours.
Demonstrates resilience, visible felt leadership.
IOSH managing safely, environmental awareness for managers, behavioural health and safety (VFL) Personal Highways safety Medicals - other.
