Salary:  Circa £50,000 dependant on experience

Location: Endeavour Square, Stratford

 

Crossrail is the new high frequency, high capacity railway for London and the South East. When the service opens as the Elizabeth Line, trains will travel from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east via new tunnels under central London. More than 10,000 people have been working across 40 construction sites, to build this remarkable railway that will serve 200 million passengers.

 

Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI), a TfL subsidiary, will be Infrastructure Manager (IM) for the central operating section between Paddington, Abbey Wood and Stratford. This means for the first time TfL will operate trains on the UK mainline railway. This exciting step change will require the training of staff to maintain this remarkable railway.

 

The Supplier Training & Contracts Manager is is a professional subject matter expert responsible for planning, procuring, organising and evaluating training programmes by ensuring fit for purpose supplier contracts are established and maintained for all training provision.

Accountability

Accountable for the development (through leading OJEU processes) and implementation of a commercial supplier framework for training and learning, to ensure RLFI can responsibly procure training and learning as required by the organisation.
Ensure suppliers develop and deliver training & assessment (including: eLearning, classroom learning and simulations) to ensure both organisational standards and individual needs are met
Manage internal and external suppliers of training and other services to RfLI, to ensure the quality and value are maintained or improved, thus maximising the value to the organisation and ensuring all contractual engagement is compliant with current legislation relating to such activities.
Manage the evaluation process for all RLFI maintenance training, to track quality of the training, identify trends and make improvements to training and learning.
Develop and monitor the budget for RLFI maintenance training & assessment and support the budget holder with decision making based on the available budget and the needs of the organisation.
Continuously seek opportunities to identify cost saving opportunities, whilst maintaining required standards of training and delivery against the business plan.
Oversee and comply with systems and process that underpin the establishment of a high performing workforce, by embed the principles throughout the organisation

Knowledge

Professional commercial qualifications
Member of the Institute Of Commercial Management, Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or membership of similar commercial professional institution
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or similar assessment qualification is desirable
Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or similar training qualification is desirable
Member of the Chartered Institute for Professional Development or similar professional institution is desirable
