Locations: Elmbridge Depot(KT10 8AS) Ealing Depot: (UB6 9AP)

The role
To Undertake street cleansing duties to meet the requirements of the contract in accordance with schedules and ad hoc instructions.
To Ensure that locations are left in a clean and tidy state to meet the requirements of the grade A standard of street cleaning.
To make use of In-Cab technology to record items if required.
Key accountabilities
Undertake all aspects of street cleaning works including scheduled and reactive cleaning using both manual and mechanical methods, litter bin emptying, fly tip removal flyposting and graffiti removal.
Undertake all cleaning duties safely, to a very high standard and in line with Amey values.
Willingness to assist in the provision of a 7 day service which may include weekend, bank holiday and night works.
Drive or operate the vehicles and plant required to complete issued tasks
Work as a member of a team and receive instruction from supervisors and or management and communicate this to other team members
To ensure satisfactory completion of allocated work in accordance with instructions
To operate the In-Cab device effectively 
To ensure that any relevant paperwork is completed and returned to the supervisor
Maintain good operational relationships with the public, client representatives and members of the team by dealing with items courteously and efficiently.
Clearing waste irresponsible dumped to ensure that locations are left clean and tidy
Give advice, guidance and assistance to new or inexperienced team members
Be fully compliant with all requirements of Health & Safety at work.
Assist with other areas of the contract including waste collections and winter maintenance as required.
Carry out any reasonable task or undertake other such duties that may be required

Skills & experience
Must have qualifications

Driver CPC Qualification (for drivers of 7.5t and above)
Basic literacy skills
Full Driving Licence (For drivers of 3.5t and above)


Customer care skills
Administrative skills
Maintaining level of service in all weather conditions
Prolonged periods of physical exertion

Driving up to and including LGV Class 2 vehicles (For drivers only)
Experience of Using a digital tachograph (For drivers only)
Previous experience of a customer facing work area
