Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our Construction North East team to ensure accuracy of works, components fit and quality control as well as communication of technical information for projects in the Leeds area.


Key Accountabilities for the role include:


Provide base lines, grid lines and datum levels for controlling the setting out of the works
Read, interpret and understand Mechanical and Electrical drawings to co-ordinate builders’ work details
Take concrete cube samples, mortar cube samples and slump tests and organise the testing and distribution of the results internally and to the Structural Engineer
Supervise the work in progress and check operations comply with the working drawings and specifications
Report defective work to the Senior Engineer or Site Manager, raise the necessary Defective Works Notice and supervise the remedial works
Raise RFIs to the Design Team to ensure information is available before work commences.

We are looking for a site engineer with a general understanding of HSW and SHE policy and strong knowledge of information control, dissemination, record keeping and materials testing.


To be successful in the role you will have the ability to accurately use surveying instruments as well as the ability to read, interpret and understand technical drawings and sketches.
