Premier Inn & Restaurants Planning Manager, Central Operations, Competitive base salary + up to 30% bonus and additional benefits.

Based in Whitbread Court, Dunstable

Purpose of the role:

The Planning Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join our Central Operations function and be responsible for the operational planning for all locations, regions and divisions. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining a 24-month rolling calendar to ensure clarity and lock down of upcoming changes in a controlled and managed way. The successful applicant will have project and process management skills, the ability to pull together detailed plans, manage critical paths and coordinate information.

What needs to be done / Role responsibilities:

PI&R Capacity Planning and Management

Impact assessment on behalf of all Ops teams onto all programmes by ensuring all activity is planned and impact to site operations understood
Functions are fully engaged, and rigour is in place to ensure no activity requiring site teams time is missed from the plan
Support in a PMO style for all Operational activity by providing relevant plans and documentation
Engagement on activity is clearly visible and shared with wider stakeholders
Close working with the PI&R HR plan, change team portfolio and other programme teams to understand capacity impact  
PI&R Activity Planning 

Educate the process around Ops Planning for the Support Centre teams
Work collaboratively with the Comms Manager so they can plan to build accurate comms plans for all relevant activity 
Identify key events / trading periods and share with comms manager for review.
Produce clear / easy to read documentation that provides an overview of activity planned and key areas of risk of overload.
Forewarn Exec/Leadership team of potential activity clashes.
See Senior Ops team input / reference activity to ensure we have a plan that is signed off by the Ops Directors
Provide expert input to the Senior Ops team at times of crisis / change Management and present for approval any changes to the plan required
Project Support/ Ownership for Key communications:

Provide project support (as required) for PI&R projects in the form of planning and agreeing time frame for delivery, impact on ops 
Provide project team resource and support on an adhoc basis as required by the Ops teams. Be the go to person to aid project’s and enablement for Ops in the Support Centre
The successful applicant will have the following:

You will have solid project planning and management experience, hands on experience of site Operations and be able to present and handle a large amount of data effectively. Excellent communication skills are a must and the ability to work across a multiple and diverse set of stakeholders, up to Senior Exec level, is crucial.

In addition, if you have experience of working in a large organisation with multi-site experience that would be very beneficial to this role.
