Responsible for the effective delivery of electrical unforeseen and planned maintenance tasks inclusive of 5 yearly fixed electrical testing.
Please note this role has a mandatory on call rota.
M&E unforeseen maintenance repairs as requested by Managers and Foremen.
Planned maintenance tasks as requested by Managers and Foremen.
All M&E installation tasks as requested by Managers and Foremen.
Assist colleagues with the general maintenance and upkeep of the workshop and stores.
Maintain in good order company equipment and vehicles as required.
Support the upgrade of the establishment asset portfolio.
Accept responsibility for individual works from conception through to completion and assist in the preparation of handover documentation as required.
Assist Site Engineers / Managers as and when required, including acting as Person in Charge / Skilled Person.
Assist and support other trades as and when required.
To assist in the maintenance of the Maintenance Management System by ensuring that job data is recorded accurately
Carry out all work in an environmentally friendly manner inclusive of the recycling of waste materials.
Ensuring a tidy and safe work area.
Attend Health & Safety training inclusive of toolbox talks as required.
Attend Health & safety committees when requested.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience in a building maintenance environment.
Flexible travelling and hours.
Mechanical & Electrical qualification.
Previous electrical testing experience.
Previous experience in a Health & Safety orientated environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to manage own workload, and to strict deadlines.
Ability to organise and prioritise a diverse workload.
Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional/remedial works.
Writing and following risk and method statements as required on a daily basis.
Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
Must hold a full UK drivers license.
Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systems.
Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
Experience of working within a customer focused environment.
Wanting to achieve success, for his or her self, the business and the customer.
Flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued.
Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.
HSE management in accordance with our (Interserve) Quality Management System and all legal and statutory requirements.
Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner
40 hours per week
25 days annual leave
Required to join an on call rota
