Job Description


We currently have an opportunity for a Hospitality Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

To take care of all day to day aspects relating to the service and maintenance of the catering service and equipment within the contract specification to the agreed performance
To provide a food and beverage service to the agreed standards
To comply with food safety and health and safety
To be flexible to work some evening functions
To ensure that all the duties and tasks are completed on a daily basis
To ensure that the preparation, presentation and service are carried out
To provide high personal standards of performance, hygiene and appearance
To communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant and polite personality
To provide an efficient, caring and friendly service to clients and staff in all areas of the catering department and deal with client requests
To ensure that all areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each service
To ensure at all times that company and statutory regulations of hygiene and safety are adhered to
To attend to any reasonable requests by management.
To ensure that all relevant forms are completed to the company standards
To assist with stocktaking when directed
Additional Ad-hoc duties;

To report any customer complaints or compliments
To report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities
To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time
Proven experience in working in the food service, catering and/or hospitality industry
Industry acumen and knowledge of catering developments & innovations
Experience in supervising a team
Excellent communication skills
Experience working in a standards compliance environment
NVQ Level 2 desirable
Relevant qualification and training and IT literate
To deliver a world class service to our client and customers in line with our standard operating procedures and promote our brand through excellent customer service.
To be efficient and organized, and should treat customers service and customer care as a priority.
To respect customers and their confidentiality at all times
Comply with all company and client policies and procedures, statutory regulations relating to the work place, this will include but is not limited to Fire Safety, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Working Safely, Manual Handling and COSHH.
Ensure the safety and security of company and client property.
To ensure and check all service equipment and furniture is clean, undamaged and ready for use.
Assist with daily delivery allocations.
Assist when necessary in ordering stock, stock takes and receiving the deliveries & returns including any breakages.
Be flexible and able to work different shift patterns.
Follow closing procedures to ensure the hospitality area is clean and tidy before the end of business day.
Promote good team work and work in a friendly, efficient manner.
To provide cover during manager absence.
Site specific duties

Ensure that all catering offerings and delivery services are to service standards agreed in the client's contract.
Catering and food service at Sidley Austin conference rooms delivered consistently and efficiently.
Knowledge of outlook, word and excel.
