Transport for London (TfL) Engineers are always looking forward. Day-to-day, your focus will be on motivating and developing your department to deliver safe, cost effective engineering solutions across the organisation. But it doesn’t stop there; you will also apply your own extensive technical expertise across a wide range of complex issues on the transport network, as well as developing technical strategy and acting as the designated technical authority where assigned.
As the Principal Engineering Leader for Permanent Way Track, you will be a recognised expert in Track Engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of TfL and wider industry theory and practise. You will have extensive experience of managing Permanent Way interfaces and managing the development of permanent componentry for plain line and junctionwork. You will provide expert input into the update and development of Permanent Way standards. Using your excellent experience of Permanent Way engineering, you will provide support and guidance to Permanent Way maintenance and project teams across TfL.
