Transport for London (TfL) Engineers are always looking forward. Join us in our Transport System Engineering team and, as well as supporting the maintenance of legacy assets, you’ll aid in the delivery of new systems and solutions. There’s more to it than tubes, roads, buildings and bridges. This is about connecting communities and creating opportunities, so we’re ready for the 21st century and beyond.
Day-to-day your focus will be the delivery of Noise and Vibration (N&V) expertise to ensure the achievement of associated targets related to quality, safety, cost and time. This will encompass balancing the demand for N&V specialist input to TfL’s various business units and stakeholders in support of the Company’s business plans and day to day operations. The role will also involve contributing to the development of the internal capability of the N&V team to the short and long-term benefit of TfL and assure that N&V related issues are managed such that they are compliant with legislation and relevant standards.
You’ll need to have extensive knowledge of collecting and analysing N&V data, and be aware of the area’s recent developments and best practices. But on a personal level, it’s your passionate proactivity, confident dealings with both internal customers and external stakeholders and clear focus on the commercial impact of your work that will set you apart.
The more teams you’ve been involved in or led, the better. But it’s important you bring a passion for the TfL Vision and strategy too. That’s because, you’ll have the opportunity to explore work of unparalleled scale, scope and variety across a unique range of projects, as you build your career and expertise. So come and bring on tomorrow, as an Engineer at TfL.”
