Interserve is currently recruiting a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer to form part of a team to provide a high level of maintenance support to the Department for Transport Contract to meet Interserve business and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will be required to take any necessary police security checks for the role. The ideal candidate will be based on the East Coast of Scotland to Central Perth. The role is mobile covering Scotland therefore you must hold a valid driving licence.
50% of the role will be required to complete PPM reactive maintenance and 50% will be related to electrical tasks. The successful candidate will require security clearance prior to starting the role and a higher clearance during employment.
Carry out planned maintenance to a variety of electrical equipment, as per detail and requirement
Carry out repairs to electrical systems and equipment as per requirement
Carry out installation work on electrical circuitry and equipment as per drawings and requirements of the business.
Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.
Accept and feedback work on PPM system and suggest improvements.
Offer support to other Functions.
Completion of documentation as required, including RAMS.
Undertake Health and Safety, Technical and other training as required.
Must be prepared to work towards multi-skilling.
Other duties as the job role requires.
Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Must have completed a recognised time served apprenticeship
City and Guilds certificate/NVQ level 3 certificate or equivalent preferred
17th Edition Regulations Qualified
H.V. switching trained and 2391electrical Inspection & Testing
Familiar with boilers, heating systems, air handling systems, motors, pumps, HVAC - desirable
Fault finding abilities are essential
Must have a driving licence (6 points Max)
Excellent communication skills
Confident and enthusiastic
Able to do the job right and do it right first time, within a pre-determined timescale
Wanting to achieve success, for his or her self, the business and the customer
Prepared to go the extra mile
Flexible approach to work and working hours
