We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sprinkler Service Engineer to join our Fire division at Interserve. The purpose of this role is to carry out engineering/maintenance tasks as allocated by the Regional Service Supervisor on all makes of sprinkler systems to cover the London / South East area as well as some UK wide travel.
Carry out engineering/maintenance tasks as allocated by the Regional Service Supervisor on all makes of Sprinkler Systems within the UK.
Understand fire panels and isolations
Carry out checks and flow tests on fire pumps
Take part in an on call rota for Out of Hours Emergencies.
Ability to survey new and remedial works in accordance with the British Standard.
Ensure adherence to the operational and customer KPIs and SLAs.
Ensure high standards are maintained in respect of technical compliance to standards, health and safety and pay particular attention to statutory compliance across all building services in buildings/ services provided.
Adopt high standards in the completion of their work. Ensure adherence to the “Safety Culture” within the daily working routine with all parts of the Fire division.
Ensure that all operations comply with all company, legislative and best practice requirements, including Health, Safety, Environmental, Procurement and Employment practices.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Manager / Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience of working within a customer facing role with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
Considerable experience of Fire Sprinkler Systems.
Excellent communication / customer facing skills.
Ability to work on own initiative, but also contribute to an effective team.
Substantial quantifiable and demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of various conventional & addressable fire alarm systems including Morley, Advance, Kentec, Gent, Haes & Menvier.
Strong sense of urgency and desire to succeed.
Full UK Driving License (desirable)
Full time / Permanent
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday
