We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Wates Living Space team based in Stoke Newington.
Key Accountabilities will also include:
Develop highly talented and motivated commercial teams as well as build excellent relationships with other business functions, customers, consultants and the supply chain.
Ensure that the commercial function within the business unit effectively supports the operational teams in the implementation of H&S policies.
Create, develop and implement training programmes to encourage high performance, and work with the regional leadership team to ensure training matches succession planning and business landscape changes.
Drive a clear strategy on operational delivery, customer engagement, commercial excellence, winning work and repeat business, PLT portfolio development, people training, succession and development.
Lead initiatives that fulfil and go beyond the corporate responsibility targets and actively seek to enhance Wates reputation with customers and stakeholders.
We are looking for a strong commercial lead with a good understanding of traditional and modern methods of construction, along with an advanced knowledge of RMIS, contract conditions, MCR, subcontracts and bidding policies.
To be successful in this role you will be an effective communicator with excellent leadership skills to influence and challenge at all levels, whilst inspiring and developing the team to engage and deliver profitable results.
