We are looking for a driven and organised individual to support a high quality catering service for our E.ON contract based at Coventry.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team in a busy catering environment supporting and learning new skills in food preparation and service delivery both front and back of house.
Apprenticeship/Training Details:
The successful candidate will be enrolled onto the Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Standard which typically takes 12 – 15 months to complete.
During this time the apprentice will be given full on and off the job training developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to build your career in Hospitality and Catering. The programme is delivered onsite in the workplace by SMART Training and involves time off the job to attend monthly workshops and 1-2-1 sessions with your tutor.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, candidates will achieve a L2 Hospitality Apprenticeship Standard as well as L1 Functional Skills in Maths & English (if required).
Following successful completion of this apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to specialise and progress onto a L3 Hospitality and catering programme.
With regards to the apprenticeship programme, the emphasis is on developing generic hospitality skills with the introduction covering the following:
Understand what hospitality means; the culture of the industry and why delivering a customer experience to meet and exceed customer’s expectations is so important to hospitality businesses.
Appreciate the importance of hospitality behaviours such as personal conduct, being adaptable, using initiative and communicating with a diverse range of people.
Know the range of businesses and establishments that make up the hospitality industry, their differences and similarities and the variety of job roles and progression opportunities that are available.
The apprentice will then work on a range of Core Hospitality knowledge, skills and behaviours which covers the business, customers, people and team leading.
They will then have the opportunity to specialise in the choice of Food and Beverage Service or Food Production.
Grade D or above in Maths & English
Able to provide an excellent customer service
Good communication skills verbal and written
Ability to work in a team
Hardworking, Self- motivated and driven
Willing to learn and be committed to the apprenticeship program
12 month fixed term contract
35 hours per week
Monday to Friday
20 days annual leave
Qualification gained at end of apprenticeship: Level 2 Hospitality Apprenticeship
